Fall Get-Away

Jonathan & I needed serious time away. We went to a Tuscan bed & breakfast, called la Villa Vista, on Lake Travis in Austin. Here is some pictures of the house and the views from the house.

Where did the time go?

Ekkk! I've been a bit busy and haven't posted much since October.
Here is some pictures from the past few months.

Dogs In Clothes & Halloween Pumpkins

So I decided to dress Ms. Piggy up in a few outfits given to me by my coworker. I am not too sure she liked it.....She tolerated it for about 10 minutes then gave me the long "I've had enough look".

Piggy's Dracula Costume

Piggy's Christmas jammies, it's a big snug, eh?

This dog is a bit nutty sometimes, thats okay I suppose I am too :) She does have a overly excessive licking habit; and I am working on fixing that.

We had our family pumpkin carving night last week. I will try to have more pictures posted up soon.

Ask A Toddler - Special Delivery#1: "How To Throw A Tantrum"

For all of you new parents and soon to be parents....this is what you have to look forward to!

Racecar Sunday

Hammie spent all day with me yesterday helping me clean up the house. I decided it would be fun to play 'racecar' with the laundry basket.

This kid is on the verge of walking!!

After awhile, he decided it would be fun to climb into the basket side ways.

Nap time for the Ham.

To Dress or Not To Dress....

I am a bit slow and very forgetful when it comes to the Halloween season, especially after having children. They wipe me clean of money from the previous month, because of their birthday's, and then all of a sudden it's October. I think it would be less stressful on me, if I knew what they were going to be and had their costume by mid October. Well I just realized today, IS mid October and I don't have any costumes for either child. Kelly will be with her father on Halloween, so I am praying he will get her one this year. So I am off searching on the internet costume ideas for Hammie (aka Sebastian). Here was a few of my ideas:

A Flying Monkey costume from the Wizard of Oz, a German boy, or I thought I could dress Hammie in a black & white striped shirt, black pants, black beret hat, and put a fake mustache on him; and he could be a little Frenchman! lol

Here is a picture of my son:

My last costume idea, I thought would be perfect for him. My coworker, Tasha, has a puppy costume she had used on her son last year; she is letting me borrow it. So alas, my little Ham will be a cute cuddly puppy (below)!

(We will see how long the head piece stays on) I haven't decided if I will dress up or not for Halloween. It will all depend on if I go out later that night. And I am thinking that will be a big fat no since, I cant keep my eyes open past 11pm!

Here is a list of things I have done or need to do before Halloween comes:
(x)Decorate house somewhat of assorted Halloween/fall decorations
(x)Decorate outside with Halloween decorations
( )Buy/Borrow a Halloween costume for Hammie
( ) Buy limited quantities of candy and hide it until the big day
( ) Figure out if I am going to dress up or not, or just half ass it and wear something goofy and
'pretend' I am dressed up ;)
( ) Take kids to pumpkin festival next weekend for food, games, painting and pumpkin finding!

Birthday Madness

Posted September 10th, 2008

Tomorrow my little baby boy will become a toddler. He is my new Toddles since Kelly is a preschooler. I knew before even giving birth to Sebastian that he was going to be trouble. Boy was I right; he has trouble written on his forehead. Over the last 6 months or so he has gotten his little paws into everything that's imaginable. He loves electrical outlets, electrical cords, the table, the chairs, my desk, my computer, the kitchen cabinets, and the list goes on. He has managed to fall more times than Kelly ever did in her first 2 years of life! And the latest accident was last Sunday when a wooden chair fell on his face. He has a very black busted lip; people probably think I did something to him. My little Ham has had a fat lip for several days; hopefully it will be gone by his 1st birthday party on Saturday.

Kelly has grown a lot in the last year. She has become a mini mommy by helping me with Sebastian; I don't always ask her to help, she likes to. She is really ready for kindergarten but she won't be able to go until next year. I have never seen a kid so eager to go to school. Here are a few funny things Kelly has said over the last few weeks that I thought I'd share:

What are you doing Kelly? "I'm just hanging out with myself"

"You need to feed the grass mommy, it's thirsty!"

"Remember, Mommy, when we saw that naked man in his car but it had no doors?"

(I have no recollection of seeing a naked man while driving nor does she)

Kelly's Favorites

TV Show: The Wiggles, Jon & Kate Plus 8

Food: Apple juice, candy, gum, spaghetti

Color: Pink, purple, blue

Loves to sing & dance, collecting rocks and wearing makeup

Dislikes: Putting on her socks, cokes (yes!), Jonathan's monkey costume

Sebastian's Favorites

TV Show: The Wiggles

Food: Spaghetti

Loves to get into everything, play chase the baby, his baths and giving hive-fives.

Dislikes: Having his hands touched, being woken up

As my baby turns 1 tomorrow, Kelly turns 4, a few days later. I am having a big family birthday party for them this Saturday. I am making a monkey care for Sebastian and a 3D princess castle cake for my pretty princess. I will let you know how well that turns out. Hopefully I won't become overly frustrated, throw the fondant pieces on the floor and stomp on them. heh

Oh You Ooey Gooey Crap!

Posted April 11, 2997 1:46pm

Ok, so I had to write this and warn anyone who have children (and are probably laughing at me) and those who plan to have children soon (these people are laughing at me too). DO NOT Allow your child to go to bed with silly putty!!!!!! This gooey ooz like stuff looks innocent, but when stuck to material it will stick and seap into the smallest cracks of each strand of fiber. I allowed Toddles to go to bed with purple/glittery silly putty. Bad idea. I just walked in there to find that it was apparently in her hand but she fell asleep, so it kind of oozed itself down onto her sheets. Then she proceeded to roll in it got it on her jammies. Ughh and here I am leaning over trying to get this darn stuff off as much as I can. I think I saved a third of it. Atleast it didnt get in her hair......ughh wait. I shouldnt of said that, I should go back and double check!!!
